Welcome to Holywood!

The Holywood Children’s Ministry strives to provide children in Kindergarten – 5th grade a fun and safe learning environment where they can learn about Jesus and his love for each one of us. We want to work as a team with you the parent in the spiritual growth of your child. During these years children start to form their worldview. We want to be a partner with you making sure that every child that enters our doors gets the Biblical worldview and not that of the world. We want children to be taught how much God loves us and to receive the free gift that he gave us, eternal life.    

Every week we learn through games, songs, drama, experiments, and studying the Bible. Holywood classes rotate every year studying the Old Testament or New Testament.    

August 2010- May 2011: We will start our walk through the New Testament from Jesus’ birth through his death and resurrection. We will also learn about the lives of some of Jesus’ disciples. Come and join us to see that Jesus is still alive today!

Summer Programming: Since the AWANA ministry runs September through May the children at AMBC have special Summer programming during the summer months. One Wednesday each month we will hold an event such as game nights, sports nights, and sometimes a swimming party. Call the church office for exact times and locations. For Sunday School we take a break from traditional lessons and watch a video series that has interactive questions and praise songs. 

Holywood Classes:

Holywood Bible study 9:45-10:45AM Sundays - The Holywood Bible studies are for children in Kindergarten – 5th grade. These classes are taught by dedicated Christian adults who love the Lord and love kids! Each volunteer is screened so that we can help ensure a safe environment for your child. 

 Below is a breakdown of classes:      

  • Studio K –  Kindergarten taught by Chris Simpson, Charles & Suzanne Chickering.
  • Studio 1 – 1st grade taught by Nina Cole and Toni Tichi.
  • Studio 2 – 2nd and 3rd grade taught by Doug and Amy Woodul.
  • Studio 56 – 4th and 5th grade taught by Jennifer and Rodney Vincent.  

We do not have extended care for children that are school age. We do supply an activity as you enter the auditorium. We believe that even at this young age children are ready to learn to worship with everyone.
